Matrona "KADE" Baran

Lead Storm Chaser

I started chasing when I was a little girl, age 8 to be exact. I was almost killed by an F-0. I had no warning and since then I have dedicated my time and body to the study of thunderstorms and tornadoes. I am 27 years old and have studied tornadoes and thunderstorm formations for almost 15 years. I established the club back in 2001, but it was the brainchild of the M.I.S.S -(Meteorological Institute for Studying Storms) project that I started back in 1994. I started out as a storm chaser of sorts, chasing storms on my bike. I have since grown up to become a "real" storm chaser. I also developed my own thunderstorm rating system that dives deeper into the structure of a thunderstorm to offer warnings to the public on a much wider scope. I also like wrestling and football. My favorite wrestler is John Cena, and The Green Bay Packers are my favorite football team. I have alot of cats,2 dogs, 2 Mallard ducks, and 1 bird. So of course I love animals. I also served in the US NAVY on the USS MONTEREY.
 

Bryan "Slash" Baran

Chaser/Driver

I started chasing with the Stormstalkers when I met my wife Matrona "Kade". I drive the Team into storms to get a better understanding of them. I am 28 years old and I took the chaser course that Kade offered in school, when we were dating. I really like weather and its affects on places and people. I also really like wrestling, my favorite wrestler is The Undertaker. I also love the Dallas Cowboys.

I am the team's chaser and photographer. I became interested in storm chasing in high school when Matrona created the weather club and out of total curiosity for the science, I signed up.  I lived in England, but now reside here in PA. I really like the New York Mets, and i love to draw. I have an associates in Advertising and Computer graphics.  I can draw practically anything.
